Refunds and cancellation

These terms apply to paid audit and assessment engagements with Flowing Data Connect (regulatory readiness audits, monitoring reviews, CDD file audits, and investor diligence packs). They do not cover products we do not sell — there is no software subscription, physical merchandise, or self-paced course on this site.

Eligibility

Refunds are available only for fees paid under a signed letter of engagement. Website enquiries and complimentary scoping calls carry no charge and no refund.

Deposit

Engagements typically require a deposit of 30% of the agreed fee to reserve fieldwork dates. The deposit is applied to the final invoice.

Cancellation by the client

• More than 14 days before kickoff: full refund of amounts paid, less any non-recoverable travel already booked with your written approval.
• 7–14 days before kickoff: 50% of the deposit may be retained for scheduling costs; the remainder is refunded.
• Fewer than 7 days before kickoff, or after kickoff: deposit is non-refundable. Fees for work already performed (document intake, sampling begun, draft sections) are payable on a time basis at the rates in the engagement letter.

Rescheduling

One reschedule with at least 10 days’ notice is usually accommodated without charge, subject to auditor availability. Further moves may incur a rescheduling fee of up to 10% of the engagement fee.

No-shows

If key client contacts miss agreed interview slots without 24 hours’ notice, we may charge for the reserved time or extend the timeline with additional fees.

Work already started

Once evidence intake or sampling has begun, fees reflect progress. Partial refunds, if any, equal amounts paid minus the value of completed stages described in the engagement letter.

Non-refundable items

• Third-party travel and accommodation booked at your request
• Certified translations commissioned for the engagement
• Completed closing briefs and issued findings memos

Refund process and timing

Email hello@flowingdataconnect.digital with your engagement reference and reason. We confirm eligibility within five business days. Approved refunds are returned by the original payment method within 14 business days of approval.

Cancellation by Flowing Data Connect

If we must cancel for reasons within our control (for example, auditor unavailability we cannot cover), you receive a full refund of amounts paid for unfinished work, or we offer remapping to new dates at your election.

Exceptions

Mandatory legal requirements in Taiwan that grant stronger cancellation rights take precedence over this page where they apply.
